Tour Overview

Day 1

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City

Greetings! Step into the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, infused with French influences. If you arrive ahead of schedule, consider exploring Pham Ngu Lao Street to experience the local open-air market or paying a visit to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. Your journey kicks off with a welcome meeting at 6 pm, providing the opportunity to meet your tour leader and fellow travelers. Lodging: Hotel
Day 2

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City

Commence your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City with a trip to the Reunification Palace, formerly recognized as the Presidential Palace and the site of South Vietnam's surrender at the war's conclusion. Subsequently, proceed to the War Remnants Museum, showcasing historical military artifacts such as an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter. Conclude your day with a visit to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels, a former Viet Cong stronghold that offers a glimpse into the resourcefulness and determination of the Vietnamese people, as well as the subterranean lifestyle during the Vietnam War. Lodging: Hotel
Day 3

Day 3: Hoi An

Bid farewell to Ho Chi Minh City as you board a flight to Danang (lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes). Upon arrival, proceed to My Khe Beach, an exquisite destination set against the picturesque backdrop of the Marble Mountains. This area held significance for both Americans and Vietnamese during the war. Delight in exploring the caves and pagodas of the Marble Mountains, accessible via rock-hewn staircases or an elevator for a fee of VND 40,000. Following your visit, continue your journey to Hoi An, where you'll spend the night (approximately 30 minutes by private minibus). Lodging: Hotel
Day 4

Day 4: Hoi An

Today, your guide will lead you on an exploration of Hoi An's Old Town. Dating back to the 17th century, this city served as a prominent trading port and showcases a blend of architectural influences from Europe, China, and Vietnam. Presently undergoing restoration, the town retains its century-old charm. The guided tour includes visits to a historic house, the Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese assembly hall, and a museum. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, providing opportunities for optional activities or simply immersing yourself in the ambiance of the surroundings. Explore the street stalls offering paintings, woodwork, ceramics, lanterns, and more. Hoi An is renowned for its skilled tailors who can craft exquisite items to order within a few hours. Lodging: Hotel
Day 5

Day 5: Hanoi

This morning, embark on a journey to the airport and take a flight to Hanoi, Vietnam's enchanting capital (lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes). Immerse yourself in a guided half-day tour of Hanoi, exploring key landmarks such as the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, and the former residence of Vietnam’s renowned revolutionary figure, Ho Chi Minh. The tour also includes a delightful lunch at the KOTO cafe, a remarkable initiative offering vocational training for underprivileged youth. The afternoon provides some leisure time. In contrast to its bustling southern counterpart, Hanoi exudes a unique tranquility. Escape the urban clamor by exploring the diverse parks and lakes, or opt for a bike rental to cycle around town for an optimal view of the city. Lodging: Hotel
Day 6

Day 6: Halong Bay

Embark on a journey by private minibus to the renowned Halong Bay (approximately 4 hours), one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Vietnam. Upon reaching the bay, embark on a leisurely cruise through the area, immersing yourself in the stunning green waters and exploring the remarkable Surprise Cave. Access to Surprise Cave involves climbing staircases, and once inside, the pathways may be a bit uneven and slippery. If weather permits, you may also have the opportunity to swim from the pristine Ti Top Island beach. Your accommodation for the night will be on a traditional junk-style boat, featuring twin-share cabins equipped with air-conditioning and private facilities. The boat includes a dining room and bar where you'll savor all your meals, including delectable fresh seafood for lunch and dinner. Lodging: Overnight boat
Day 7

Day 7: Hanoi

Return to Hanoi via private minibus (approximately 4 hours). In the afternoon, indulge in the distinctive artistry of a water puppet performance. The evening is yours to explore the charming city at your own pace. Consider unwinding at a cozy café or savoring a bia hoi (freshly brewed draught beer) at one of the microbars nestled in the Old Quarter. Lodging: Hotel
